Six reasons

Why Choose PINAK?

What goes into a PINAK pan, and how it compares with other cookware.

01

Handcrafted

Hammered by hand in Mandi Gobindgarh

The dimpled outside of every PINAK piece is hammered by hand in our workshop in Mandi Gobindgarh, so each piece looks slightly different.

✓Hand-hammered finish
02

Food-grade steel interior

Brass outside, steel inside

Traditional brass cookware needs its kalai (tin lining) renewed from time to time so that sour food does not react with the metal. PINAK pieces have a food-grade stainless steel cooking surface instead, with brass or copper on the outside.

✓Steel does not react with tamarind, tomato, curd or lemon
03

Even heating

Brass and copper spread heat well

Brass and copper carry heat better than stainless steel, so the heat spreads across the base and sides of the pan instead of staying in one spot.

✓Fewer hot spots
04

Hammered finish

From the stove to the table

The hammered brass look is meant to go straight from the stove to the table, so you can cook and serve in the same piece.

✓Cook and serve in one piece
05

Built to last

Heavy-gauge metal

PINAK cookware is made from heavy-gauge sheet metal, with cast brass handles fixed by stainless steel rivets. With normal care it will last for many years.

✓Heavy-gauge construction
06

Easy to clean

Everyday washing

The steel inside washes like any steel pan, with dish soap and a sponge. The brass outside darkens over time; lemon and salt bring back the shine.

✓No special polish needed
