Caring for PINAK Cookware

PINAK cookware is made from heavy-gauge metal and needs only simple care. These steps keep it clean and shining.

Step-by-Step

Everyday care

01Step

Before First Use

Wash with warm water and mild dish soap to remove any polishing residue. Rinse thoroughly.

02Step

Cleaning

Use a soft sponge. Avoid steel wool and harsh chemicals to preserve the hammered luster.

03Step

Dry Immediately

Prevent water spots and maintain the brilliant golden shine by wiping dry with a soft cloth immediately.

Polishing

Why brass darkens

With heat and time, the outside of brass and copper darkens to a warm brown called patina. This is normal and does not affect cooking.

If you prefer the original shine, you can bring it back with lemon and salt from your kitchen.

Lemon and salt method
1 Lemon / Lime
The juice gently lifts tarnish.
2 Tablespoons Coarse Salt
Works as a mild scrub.
Soft Cotton Cloth / Sponge
Rub the paste over the outside.
Lukewarm Water Rinse
Rinse well and dry straight away.
Washing and drying PINAK cookware
Wash by hand and dry straight away to keep the shine.
Quick reference

Do's and don'ts

✓Do
  • •Always wash with warm water, mild liquid dish soap, and a soft sponge.
  • •Dry immediately with a clean cotton towel to prevent mineral water spots.
  • •Cook on low to medium heat. Brass and copper spread heat well, so high heat is rarely needed.
  • •Use wooden, silicone or smooth brass spoons to protect the inside finish.
  • •Use a paste of lemon and salt to bring back the shine on the outside.
✕Avoid
  • •Do not use steel wool, wire scrubbers or bleach powders.
  • •Do not put brass or copper cookware in a dishwasher.
  • •Do not heat an empty pan on a high flame for long.
  • •Avoid leaving salty water or acidic liquids standing overnight.
  • •Avoid dropping it on hard surfaces, which can dent the rim.
